Banquets

Sunnyside Country Club's banquet facility is on the upper level of the Clubhouse and can hold a maximum of 325 people. The ballroom can be divided into five separate rooms with sound minimizing walls. This facility is the perfect place to hold business meetings, weddings, anniversaries, class reunions, bridal showers, and many other events. A dance floor is available upon request.

In order to hold an event at Sunnyside, the Board of Governors has established these guidlines: The Club member must be a qualified member of the group he/she sponsors, and must accompany them. All outside groups are subject to approval of the Board of Governors, and the sponsoring member shall be responsible for all charges or damage of Club property. Sunnyside does not have a room rental fee. The price you pay for your event is based upon the food and beverage price per person attending your event (along with any additional costs for equipment rental if necessary). If there are any additions or changes for your event, you must notify the Administrative Assistant at least two business days in advance of the event. If we do not hear from you, the original count (or if the amount of people that attend the function is larger than the original count) will be used for billing purposes. This count confirmation is required to allow our chefs the correct amount of time to order the food product, and also to give appropriate time to prepare your selections, thus making your event more enjoyable.

Family events are those special events such as family reunions, weddings, anniversaries, etc., that has immediate family involved. In those cases not only is this acceptable use of the facility, but on those occasions, the 19% service charge is waived.

All requests for closing the upper level of the Clubhouse for special large functions must be presented to the Board of Governors in writing a minimum of 30 days in advance of said function. You will be subject to a minimum billing of $11,335.00 for a member event and $13,275.00, plus a service charge and tax, for a member sponsored event. The minimum is to be adjusted each January 1st, for an increase in the consumer price index for the past 12 months as of October 1st the previous year. This request is necessary for normal club open hourse (Tuesday - Saturday, and Sunday AM). In order to open the club or an area of the club for a special function, the event or charge will be a minimum of $1,500.00 to cover costs of service staff and to accommodate the member sponsored function.
