The golf course at Sunnyside Country Club is considered one of the finest in Iowa. It is a challenging, yet fair golf course. The course was honored as the Iowa Golf Association's 2006 Course of the Year. With four sets of tees to choose from, anyone will be able to find a set to match their skill level. The four different course distances range from 5284 yards to 6736 yards.
Since opening in 1970, the golf course continues to mature every year with many course improvements to enhance your golfing experience here at Sunnyside. A new irrigation system was installed in 2007, and in 2008 a new bridge on Hole 18. The golf course typically opens around April 1st and stays open until the weather forces it to close somewhere around December 1st. The course is closed on Monday mornings until noon to allow the grounds crew time to perform maintenance tasks such as, greens topdressing and plant protectant applications.
